UK Healthcare is the trading style of Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Council, which is a historic healthcare cash plan provider with strong roots dating back to 1813.  As one of the longest established healthcare providers in the country we are also a completely not for profit organisation, donating all spare surpluses back to various different health related causes. 

As a brief background - in 1877 an organization was set up to raise the huge sum at the time of £70,000 needed to build a new infirmary to meet the ever increasing needs of the Bolton town. To fund this new building and the dispensary, the members of the scheme paid 1p a week from their wages on a Saturday and so as a result Bolton & District Hospital Saturday was born.

Trading now as UK Healthcare, sustainability and giving back is at the heart of everything we do.
